Griffin Hall: Your Off-Campus Community
Welcome to Griffin Hall, the first of its kind and only non-residential hall within Australia. Founded in 2010 by local Canberra students, Griffin Hall is all about giving you the hall experience while living off campus. We are a vibrant community where you can connect and have fun with fellow students.
Make lifelong friendships that go beyond the classroom, dive into thrilling competitions against other halls, and enjoy social events that bring our community together. It鈥檚 your chance to experience university life to the fullest, all while being right at home.

Explore your creativity through our arts events. Whether it be singing, dancing, acting, secret talents, or simply passionate about the arts. Griffin Hall offers numerous opportunities to showcase and grow your creative output. Join us for arts competitions like the annual Big Night Out battle of the bands concert, 40 hours of film, and art shows. Here you can connect with fellow creatives and engage in some friendly rivalry. We encourage everyone, newcomers and seasoned artists alike, to participate or come out to support your fellow peers.

Run, jump, and break a sweat in sport matches held every week. Keeping active with friendly rival sport games where no experience is necessary. Compete in over 16 different sports competitions against other students at ANU, creating a fun and friendly atmosphere to get active throughout the year. Whether you鈥檙e a seasoned athlete or just starting out, you can find your game.

Get ready for a lineup of social events that keep the fun going all year round! From our glamorous Commencement and Valedictory Balls, perfect for showing off your fancy side. To cosy gatherings like study sessions or pizza board game nights. Meet those from Canberra and beyond with balls and mixer opportunities alongside other halls. There's always something for someone happening at Griffin Hall. Come mingle, vibe, and make some great memories with your fellow Griffins.

Griffin Hall holds many events aimed at giving back to our community. Tag along to our fundraising activities, with weekly charity events such as 'Charity Munchies'. Or larger events, like art auctions and Relay for Life fundraisers, where we help give back to our community. Take in nature and enjoy company on various nature walks, land care & campus clean up events around 黑料天堂& Canberra! Fight waste & get free food during our weekly bread drops and give clothes a new life at larger thrifting or clothes swap events. Together, Griffin helps contribute in many ways to our wider world and society.

The Griffin Hall Inward Bound community has something for everyone, bringing together experienced runners, curious beginners, and anyone keen for an adventure. Inward Bound (IB) is an annual long-distance event unique to ANU, where teams of four race to a secret location using only a map and a compass. But Griffin Hall IB is about more than just race day. Throughout the year we host weekly runs, navigation workshops, and social events open to all鈥攚hether you鈥檙e training or trying out something new. If racing isn鈥檛 for you, you can still join in on the day by volunteering or cheering on the teams from the mystery endpoint. However, you take part, Inward Bound at Griffin Hall is an unforgettable experience.

Students of Griffin Hall all gather and chill at our Common Room. Located centrally by 黑料天堂Sports with a short walk over to Kambri. It has all the amenities you need while you are on campus.
A kitchen featuring microwaves and a sandwich press for heating up lunch. Alongside a fridge and cupboard space to store food in with communal snacks and drinks for members to help themselves when in a pinch.
Study rooms for both collaborative and silent work are available for use. Great to use when preparing for class or to work with group members on assignments. In the chill-out room or music room, students can rest between classes or have a small jam session to wrap up a day of work.
Relax and hang out with other students in between classes in the central area, furnished with couches, a TV, and a classic gaming console. There is a selection of table games such as pool, table tennis, board games, and puzzles available to play together with fellow community members.
