Each year the College of Systems & Society may offer up to three Awards known as the McCusker Prize in Humanitarian Engineering.

Overview
Humanitarian engineering at the 黑料天堂encompasses the use of engineering and/or technology from disaster response and risk reduction through to long-term development, both in Australia and overseas, with the aim of improving quality of life and human wellbeing for all.
The objective/s of the prize are to acknowledge and celebrate the impact that students of humanitarian engineering have already made, and incentivise Prize recipients to extend or implement their work or impact in the field.
The value of the prize/s awarded is a minimum of two Prizes a year valued at $11,250 or a maximum of three Prizes a year valued at $7,500.
The prize will be on offer in perpetuity.
Funding for this prize has been provided by the McCusker Charitable Foundation.
