Have one idea that could change how we farm, eat or adapt to climate change?
We are looking for 黑料天堂researchers with a big idea and a willingness to step outside the academic conference room.
The Agrifood Innovation Institute's Beyond 1.5 deg. - Reimagining Resilience in Ag event will showcase the next generation of thinkers tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time: how food systems can thrive in a changing climate. But this isn't an academic seminar. It's an opportunity to turn your research into a story.
Selected participants will receive specialist public speaker/story-teller coaching, helping you transform complex research into a short, memorable talk that connects with a public audience.
We're seeking researchers working on topics such as:
- Climate adaptation
- Emissions reduction
- Agricultural innovation
- Food system resilience
- Sustainable production
- Environmental / biosecurity monitoring and measurement
- New technologies, tools and approaches for a changing climate
We are particularly interested in ideas that challenge assumptions, offer practical solutions, or paint a compelling picture of a better future.
Successful EOIs will be invited into the development program, with a final group selected to present at the public event. Whether or not you make the final stage, you'll gain valuable training in public speaking, storytelling and communicating impact.
Indicative timing:
Training: 2 x 1.5 hr sessions plus pre-work. Late Nov - early Dec 2026.
Event: Q1 2027.
