Syed Akbaruddin is a distinguished Indian diplomat and foreign policy expert with a career spanning international diplomacy and multilateral engagement.
He served as India鈥檚 Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2016 to 2020, where he represented India on key global issues, including peace and security, sustainable development and international cooperation.
Before this, he held senior roles within India鈥檚 Ministry of External Affairs, including Official Spokesperson, contributing to the country鈥檚 diplomatic communications and foreign policy strategy.
