Professor Huang Yiping is a leading Chinese economist with a distinguished career spanning academia, public policy and international finance.
He is Professor and Dean of the National School of Development at Peking University and Director of the Institute of Digital Finance, where his work focuses on macroeconomics, financial reform and the digital economy.
Professor Huang has contributed to China鈥檚 economic policy through his role as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the People鈥檚 Bank of China, to which he was reappointed in 2024. He contributes to national monetary and financial decision-making.
Earlier in his career, he held senior roles in the financial sector, including Chief Economist for China at Citigroup, and has been recognised for his contributions to economic research and policy advisory.
