Special Exam Arrangements (SEAs) support students with a disability, illness or condition. Accessibility assesses the student's needs during their appointment with an advisor, and any identified SEAs will be included in the Education Access Plan (EAP).
Exams may be run by the Examinations Office or the Academic College/s, and they are responsible for implementing the SEAs. Students will receive an email from the Examinations Office or Academic College/s or convenors with details of their exam schedule and SEAs.
For exams run by the Examinations Office the deadline to have Special Exam Arrangements (SEAs) in place for the 2025 semester 2 exam period, is Wed 22 Oct, 5:00 PM.
It is your responsibility to have completed the steps for renewal with enough time for Accessibility to process your request.
If you are in the process of making a new registration request or waiting to meet with an advisor to complete your registration, please note the service is experiencing a high volume of demand and it can take at least 10 days to meet with an advisor after you have completed registering with the service.
Students will receive an email from the Examinations Office with details with their SEAs. If student with SEAs have not received their schedule and SEA conditions by 5pm Fri 17 Oct, they must contact Exams via email and attach their EAP documentation at examinations.officer@anu.edu.au.
If you have received your email from the Examinations Office and your SEAs in the email are inconsistent with your EAP, please contact Exams at examinations.officer@anu.edu.au via email outlining the problem and attach your EAP for further support.
For exams run by the Academic College(s) students are responsible for notifying relevant Academic College(s) / Course Convenor(s) at least two weeks and no later than 5 business days prior to the exam date, if the student requires their SEA's to be in place for their exams. Students have been advised that without sufficient notice, the SEA's may not be implemented. If you do not receive an email within 5 business days of your exam, please contact the relevant Academic College(s) / Course Convenor(s).
Accessibility is not able to provide an EAP for students with unexpected injuries or illness close to the SEA deadlines.
