Along with weekly answers, we’ll also share bonus trivia. For example, Mount Stromlo officially became part of ºÚÁÏÌìÌÃon 2 January 1957, when it was established as the Department of Astronomy within the Research School of Physical Sciences. The transition wasn’t entirely smooth. An earlier move in 1953 faced resistance, before the transfer was finalised under Director Bart Bok with the support of Prime Minister Robert Menzies.

Research support services are moving to ANUConnect, the University’s central portal for services, support and information. A new Research Services tab will be available from the end of April for staff and students to submit research enquiries.

ANU-Civic Loop Bus route update
|
From Monday 20 April to Friday 29 May the ANU-Civic Loop Bus will trial a new route.
The service will stop near Yukeembruk Village and Wamburun Hall, then outside Burton & Garran Hall, before continuing its usual loop. During this time, the stop on Daley Road outside John XXIII College will be out of service.
A further route adjustment, including a stop near Crawford School, is planned for the Semester Break. More information will be shared once details are finalised.
